What this site provides

We provide general information about documents and related processes and may link to independent services. We are not a law firm, notary service, government agency, or provider of professional advice.

Information may not apply to every document, transaction, location, provider, or situation.

What we do not decide

Neither we nor the Navigator decide:

  • what law applies, which documents are required, or whether you are eligible;
  • whether notarization is legally required or whether a document can or should be notarized;
  • whether a document is legally valid or sufficient;
  • whether a particular notarization method is available or appropriate; or
  • whether another person or organization will accept a document or process.

For document-specific requirements, the relevant sources can include the person or institution using the document, the responsible official source, the service provider, or a qualified professional, depending on the issue.

Navigator

The Navigator uses your choices or description to provide general orientation, useful questions to check, official information, and types of services that may help. It does not accept document uploads, create user accounts, or retain Navigator searches.

Independent websites and providers

We do not control linked providers' services, availability, eligibility decisions, prices, performance, terms, privacy practices, or outcomes. Any transaction is between you and the third party, under its terms and policies.

A listing does not mean that we endorse, recommend, certify, or guarantee a provider.

Provider relationships and compensation

Commercial provider links appear only when we have an active affiliate or referral relationship. We may receive compensation if you use one of those links.

We disclose compensated relationships close to the affected link. Compensation does not make a provider a recommendation or ranking. Official and government links are separate and may be shown without a commercial relationship.

Permitted use

Use this site only for lawful purposes. Do not interfere with the site, try to access restricted areas, misuse its content, or claim to represent us.
